Executive Board Procedures



Board members are expected to attend each meeting. All AHS members are welcome at Board Meetings.


Meetings occur on the second Tuesday of each month, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM at the Alexandria Black History Museum, 902 Wythe Street, Alexandria, Virginia, 22314.  Please check for messages prior to the meeting for the meeting agenda and changes.



An e-mail notice of each meeting and copy of the minutes of the preceding meeting will be sent to each elected and appointed member of the Board by the Secretary.


Agenda items should be brought to the attention of the AHS President by e-mail. Please give five days notice whenever possible.


One-third of the Board members constitute a quorum. If you are unable to attend, please notify the AHS President and/or the AHS Secretary as soon as possible.
